In 1830, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Catherine Labouré in Rue de Bac, Paris. The Virgin Mary requested a medal to be struck, promising great graces to those who wear it with faith. Known today as the Miraculous Medal, it has become one of the most beloved sacramentals in the Church — a sign of protection, intercession, and love.
